The house was set up great. The cropping area was really well lit and everything was there that was
listed on the website, and more, including some papers and things we didn’t end up buying
because we hit up Arnies. But it was a nice addition if you didn’t want to leave for just a sheet of
paper. The heating/cooling unit in the crop room made it comfortable and having a smart TV
right there, I had you tube music on it so that was nice.
The kitchen was awesome, literally any appliance you need to cook any kind of meal was there
and there were plenty of dishes, cups and glasses.
The bedrooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need even lamps with
charging stations by each bed. Same as the bathrooms.
When I couldn’t locate the handle to the big shot, the owners actually brought down a whole new
unit to use. I could have lived without it, but it was nice because I had several projects planned
and wanted to use it so it was awesome customer service.
We booked our next stay in November before we left. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Welcome to Crafty Addicts Up North Retreat! Here at Crafty Addicts we want to make sure you have the most comfortable and memorable crafting experience ever. Come join us for a relaxing get-away in Houghton Lake, Michigan!
We are located in a quiet neighborhood just five minutes from the “main drag” with plenty of shopping and dining.
Not only will you love your stay while crafting in our cozy retreat, but you will need to check out Arnie’s Arts & Crafts with something to offer every crafter! Houghton Lake has some great restaurants so even if you don’t want to go out just sit back, get comfy, and have your food delivered. Or you may choose to use the many amenities in our stocked kitchen to make your own meals.
This retreat boasts a cozy and intimate feel as we can accommodate up to eight people (minimum of six*). It has an open floor plan with living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and crafting area all on the main floor. Each guest will have their own twin bed - no sharing!! And to meet the needs of all those women...there are two full bathrooms. There is a ramp from our driveway leading right into the craft area.
Our craft room has been designed by a crafter, for fellow crafters! The room is bright and open. Each guest will have a 6 foot table complete with a comfortable chair, table lamp, and a power strip with USB. Travel lighter and pack less as there is a Cricut Maker and Big Shot die cutting machine (and many dies) available for your use.

payment policy
Deposit is a non-refundable, non-transferrable $50/person to be paid when you book your reservation, plus the $250 security fee. The security is refundable upon a satisfactory inspection after check-out and will be issued within 3 days of check-out. Deposits/security fee must be paid with a $450 (could be more depending on the size of your group) payment from one person. Not individual payments.
The remaining balance for your group is due 30 days in advance of your stay. If full payment has not been received by that date, your reservation will be forfeited and opened to others.
* Due to inflation and increased costs, we have to slightly increase our rates. Prices below will be effective as of March 1, 2024. Thank you for your understanding!

Friday 9 a.m. through Sunday 3 p.m.: (This is subject to a minimum of 4 people.) $160/person
